Term 1 Arts Reflection

Term 1 Arts Reflection 

This term I have been learning about beat and pumanawatanga. I also learnt how to read some notation and how to clap it.

We also did a performance near the end of the term to show what we have been learning about which was beat. In the performance I did the parts of the singing and the discovery time part.

A struggle for me was to keep up because sometimes I had to go danks and then come back and I didn't no what we were doing so I just had to go see. Also sometimes when I came back they had started something new for the performance and I didn't know what to do.

A highlight for me was making up our own little song for the performance and also making the beat.

Overall I really enjoyed term 1 and learning about beat and pumanawatanga. I am putting myself in relational because I can identify beat in many ways.

Discovery Time Reflection

 

Today at discovery time I made a new mood board with Anzu Natalya and Samantha. I made a bedroom for me but I haven't finished it yet because I had to go to ukulele.

The role I played was cutting out things from the magazine and listening to instructions.

A strategy I used was to ask someone for help because I needed some help on placing the things I cut out.

Something new I have learnt is how to set out a mood board.

A struggle for me was cutting out things neatly.

I showed a growth mindset when I listened to Anzu.

Next Discovery Time I want to show an improvement by finishing my work.

Overall next week I want to finish my mood board because I would like to do something else.
