Have you ever felt proud of yourself ? Well I have. And it all began on a Saturday morning in Arthur's pass.
It was a cold windy morning and I was woken up early just to climb a mountain I was furious all I wanted was a sleep in. But I had to go. So off I went to get changed once I had done that it was time to go.
While I was in the car I was thinking just enjoy the car ride. We finally got there and I was still angry I really didn't want to go. We walked over to the map and my dad showed me where we were going my mouth dropped IT WAS SO FAR I was begging not to go but they pulled me along as most parents do. As we were climbing I was just thinking of the big prize at the end.
When we finally got to the top of the mountain we stopped and had a big lollie break and then got on these things for our legs so that when we went down the scree slope we didn't get any dirt in our shoes.
As I stood up I could see everything it was amazing as I looked out all I could see was little dots moving on the road. It was time to go down the scree slope I was scared and excited at the same time so first off went my brother and my mum and now it was just me and my dad.
So I took one step and then I realised it was fine so I took a big jump and slid right on to the ground it was so fun. So when I finally got down to the bottom near the river I sat on a big rock and then when I went to go get some food there was a big brown mark left on the rock everyone started laughing I was laughing to.
After we ate we headed back down the river and then in a distance I could see the car I started raising to the car I had finally finished I was so proud of myself but really tired so I took off my shoes and got in the car and slept the rest of the way back home.
